Three Legged Prosperity Toad

Some wrinkle their nose at the humble toad. In Western culture, toads are often portrayed as ugly portents of witchcraft. Not so in the East. In Asia, toads represent purity, fertility, mindfulness, and luck. The Three-Legged Prosperity Toad, or Chan Chu, is a potent money-attracting symbol dating back to ancient Chinese civilization. These mystical creatures were believed to appear around the auspicious full moon. If  you let them into your home, they’re sure to make money flow inward, into your home and into your pockets.

The Three-Legged Prosperity Toad offers:

  • Distinctive lucky red color
  • Faux ruby eyes — traditional enhancement of symbol
  • Lucky coin in mouth
  • Detailed construction
  • Glossy, eye-catching finish

Information / Tips

Be very careful with the toad. Used wrongly, he can flush money away from you. Place him by the door facing inward, to represent money flowing in. Never place him on the floor, or in the bathroom or laundry room. Ensure he is in a discreet place. Ideally, you want nine toads, one facing inward from every direction. However, three or six will also suffice. If you only have one, place him in the South East (Money) or North (Career) area of your room or home for best results.
